Planters Conservation programme update to Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change ( NRECC )
Planters is very grateful that we are given the opportunity to update our conservation program to YB Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change, YBM Tuan Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad earlier today. Throughout the courtesy visit we have walked through with YBM on how Planters Enrichment & Reforestation project is currently executed by presenting data of trees managed at Planters sites and how Planters can help ease the burden of government related bodies in handling reforestation issues, and to heal damaged lands. YBM has extended an invitation to our team to further explain our program and suggest visits to sites which are currently needing immediate remediation.
Planters has been having talks and discussion with the ESG department at MITI and MGTC to discuss further about helping manufacturers and SME in their transition towards greener operation in their business conducts. We hope to be able to work hand in hand with government sectors, corporates and NGO’s together in conserving our rainforest and bring back the stability and sustainability of wildlife and our nation away from natural disasters and the effect of climate change.
YB Minister has been very accommodative with his time and we end the discussion timely to allow more good companies to have their turn of the meeting with his good self. YBM shows appreciation towards Planters program which independently working on the conservation of the rainforest and for the smart partnership with government body, working hand in hand to reach the goal - save the environment for the safety of the people and for future generation.
