Here's just a small sampling of the natural treasures we've planned and helped preserve over the years.
HSK Relai Permanent Forest Reserve, Kelantan
HSK Relai Permanent Forest Reserve located in Kelantan, Malaysia with estimates terrain elevation above sea level of 60-230 metres. It’s being part of Central Forest Spine (CFS) 1 : SL 1, that spans more than 83,000 hectares covering HSK Lebir - HSK Relai - HSK Ulu Temiang - HSK Jentiang - HSK Gunung Stong Tengah. There’s traces of honey bear and elephant footprints in the area.
HSK Bukit Cerakah Permanent Forest Reserve, Selangor
This location is situated within Shah Alam District within Selangor state with the total area of 1,298.86 hectare which part of it has been reserved as National Botanical Garden.
Taman Botani Negara Shah Alam is a botanical garden covers an area of 817 hectares and is the largest botanical garden in the world. TBNSA is a flora and fauna conservation center in Malaysia. There are 422 species of flora that can be found in TBNSA, 31 species of which are endemic to Peninsular Malaysia while another 20 species are listed as endangered species.
HSK Ulu Temiang Permanent Forest Reserve, Kelantan
This location is situated within Kuala Krai District which in 2010, Kuala Krai had 116kha of natural forest, extending over 88% of its land area. In 2020, it lost 1.85kha of natural forest, equivalent to 1.24Mt of CO₂ of emissions. As part of Central Forest Spine (CFS), once we are done with the forest replantation, there will be no further logging in this area in the future.
Rek River Forest Reserve, Kelantan
Sungai Rek Forest Reserve has an area of 15,360 hectares in which Planters has been given the authority to manage the area. There’s presence of wild life such as Serow, Tapirs, small mammals and several other species can be seen in this area. Conservation and enrichment shall be implemented in this area.
HSK Chini Permanent Forest Reserve, Pahang
The lake Chini nearby is an area of the UNESCO biosphere reserve site that in recent years has struggled with pollution problems due to mining and logging. This location is rich in flora and fauna, and 51 species of lowland forest type plants, 15 species of freshwater swamp forest type plants, 25 species of aquatic plants and 87 species of freshwater fish. Apart from being a natural habitat of diverse flora and fauna, it is also said that the area remained as the main source of water and income for the Orang Asli community from the Jakun tribe.
