Emerging satellite constellation in Planters site

SpaceANT is a PocketQube size satellite is a small, smart and powerful as an ant, the SpaceANT refer to Space Advance Network Technology is an innovative satellite platform that disrupt the current IoT Satellite Market by providing low cost solution in IoT application.

Planters landscape restoration faces connectivity issue due to the scale of the area and its remote location. The conservation sites are located in challenging environments to work in because of their rugged terrain, dense vegetation, and poor infrastructure. Physical barriers such as rivers, hills, and swamps can make it difficult to establish connectivity between different parts of the rainforest.

Besides limited access to technology, there is poor infrastructure to be mitigated as it is difficult to establish connectivity using traditional communication tools such as landlines and mobile phones and many plans which are proposed in the first stage suggested unreliable solutions such as tethered weather balloons and other expensive connectivity solutions which involve new infrastructure to be introduced.

Meeting with MYnef for forestry technology innovation which involves collaboration with selected local tech companies.

Recent discussion and meeting with MYnef and SpaceIn suggested better possible solutions to the problem of connectivity in Planters rainforest conservation projects. SpaceIn Sdn Bhd is a satellite manufacturer with expertise in the design and development of satellites for IoT application has expressed their intent to for SpaceANT-D Ground Sensor Terminal Testing Collaboration to figure the connectivity in the conservation area.

SpaceANT offers satellite-based asset tracking and monitoring solutions for various industries, including agriculture, mining, and logistics. The solutions are designed to provide real-time tracking and monitoring of assets in remote or inaccessible areas where traditional cellular or wireless networks may not be available. Planters and SpaceIn collaboration now will be the first test ground for SpaceIn to use their system for forestry project, therefore this opens up opportunity for SpaceIn to study the use of their ground sensor terminals for testing, documentation and provide technical support to further develop their technology.
