Keeping it together with MITI

Our visit to MITI was to understand the importance of implementing ESG for manufacturers in Malaysia to explore the international market. Through the discussion, MITI emphasised their concern on how it would be costly for our local SME’s if they were to acquire their carbon offset from the neighbouring countries. As policy and regulation is still underway, Planters connects with relevant bodies to offer solution to companies which require assistance to fulfil their ESG requirement or CSR activities.

Planters project creates sustainable long-term positive impacts within the surrounding community, in-line with multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG), which will be beneficial for the industries to adopt. We aspire to work closely with MITI to assist the industry in this challenge and we hope many will benefit through our programs. We aimed to create solution in addressing MITI concerns of Malaysia environmental, social and governance (ESG) framework for the manufacturing sector, in line with the country's target of zero net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

A fruitful meeting with ESG department, MITI for industry carbon offset program lead by Dr Jessica.
