Seeds & seedlings hunting

Our partnership with Kelantan State enable us to refurbish the existing nursery in Sungai Sam as Kelantan State Central Nursery and the centre of seeds collection centre to support Planters huge scale of reforestation project. Aiming to achieve 200,000 seedlings to be stored at the Sungai Sam at one time, our team start the hunt for seeds and seedlings to jump start our nursery readiness. Our modus operandi begins with procuring seedlings from other nurseries, however with the limited species available for purchase, we seek wild seedlings and seeds in the forest to germinate and for tissue culture replication understudy.

Our reforestation project has seen that some of the barren land require healing process custom tailored to the site condition itself. To mitigate this situation, we seek help from the indigenous people from various areas to supply us the wild seedlings from their area as to prepare before transplanting them to the targeted sites. The engangement with the indigenous people is to create economic activities and also to include them as part of our biodiversity plan while supporting our operation team to achieve our goal.
