The replacement of native populations of trees with cultivated kinds in tissue culture lab is vitally necessary to fulfil the growing demand for forest products while more forest area is required for non-timber purposes. At the moment, short-rotation intense hardwood cultivation looks to be a good fit for this requirement. However, restricted extension of arable land, fast human population increase, improved economic position, environmental degradation, deforestation, global warming, and water shortages will continue to put strain on remaining forest areas.

Today total of 23 rare and exotic tree species are planted by Amanahraya Kenedix Reit Manager in Shah Alam National Botanic Garden. This is to help the endangered and rare tree species to continue to grow in the wild.

Our nursery aims to gather 200,000 seedlings as well as the centre for seeds collection to support our huge scale reforestation.
